For years, I was led to believe that moisturizers were a major no-no for someone who had oily skin such as me.
This turned out to be a huge mistake since all skin types need proper amount of moisture and hydration in order for the skin to work properly.
I’ve learned that our skin produces more oil if it’s too dry. So it’s not really good when it feels squeaky clean.
There are a lot of amazing products available, but for today, this is all about one my favorite skin care products.
Hera Cell-Bio Trial Kit II
Huge thanks to Gabistar for letting me try it!
Here’s what the kit looks like:
The kit contains five moisturizing products and a packet of cotton pads. I’ve already used them all. But here’s an older photo I posted for reference:
So basically, you’ll just apply one product at a time. It’s best to give your skin 2-3 minutes to fully absorb the products.
I use this kit every night (except for my special mask days because it’s a different routine) after washing my face.
After patting my face dry with a clean towel, I put a few drops of the Aquabolic Moisturizing Water on my palm and pat it all over my face and neck. It helps bring back any lost moisture after washing.
After that, I soak a cotton pad with a few drops of Cell Essence Cell-Bio Fluid Sync and pat it all over my face. I gently rub the pad on my nose, then I use the other side of the pad on my neck.
Both of them have milky white color, but the Cell Essence is more watery in consistency. I super love these that they have become a necessity! They make my skin moisturized without feeling sticky. Too bad I only have the sample sizes.
Then, I take the Aquabolic Moisturizing Emulsion and put enough product on my fingers and gently apply it on my face. This does not have a pump, so I just turn the bottle upside down and lightly shake it to dispense the product.
It’s white and creamy, and it makes the skin feel supple and healthy.
After this, I take my Modifier Cell-Bio Layer Belt. As said in the bottle, it is anti-wrinkle, revitalizes skin, and makes it firm.
Thank goodness this one has got a pump! The product has a yellowish color and has a thicker consistency than the emulsion. It smoothly applies on the skin, too.
For the final step, I take an appropriate amount of the Cell-Bio Omnifocus. As you can see in the photo, this one is housed in a small pot so I make sure my hand is clean when I pick up some of it.
According to their website, “Its nutrient-rich texture works fast to make your skin look and feel different the next morning. It improves the skin in seven key respects (skin tone, complexion, density, suppleness, glow, moisture and clarity) to make you feel confident in beautiful skin.“
It feels smooth and quite buttery, but not to the point that it feels greasy. It gives my skin a healthy glow and my skin truly feels good the next morning.
All these products have a nice scent to it that is not overpowering or irritating.
They help in improving dry, dull, and lifeless skin.
Patience is the virtue that we must learn from Koreans when it comes to skin care. This routine may probably take days before it fully takes effect, but it poses less risk of damaging your skin.
One thing I love about this set is that, if my skin could only talk or express emotions, it would happily thank me.
Again, thank you Gabistar!
