I WON IN ALTHEA’S SELFIE CONTEST!

A couple of months ago, Althea held the Petal Velvet Powder Selfie Contest where they’d be choosing 10 lucky winners of $50 worth of Althea shopping credits. Thanks to my girl Christine (@theglamourhour) for making me join. Had she not, I wouldn’t have had this rare opportunity!

The $50 shopping credits appeared on my Althea account on October 31st, as promised by one of their “pixies”. Prior to this, I had already picked all the items I wanted to get and added them all to cart. (The winners were announced beginning of October.) By the time I was ready to check out, some of the items had already been out of stock. So I had to go through their vast ocean of amazing Korean skin care and makeup products again.

Thanks again to my beshy Christine, I learned that I could use Althea’s Halloween promo code at that time to get 13% discount. So, yep! I got to pick more items just to use up all P2,600 ($50) credits.

Had it not been for the shopping credits and the promo code, I would’ve paid P3,194! I got a discount of P415.22 so I only had to pay P178.78.

The best part? I only had to wait 10 days! They’ve been consistent, by the way. This was the third time I purchased from them, and I have never been disappointed. They shipped out my parcel on the 1st of November, and it was delivered to my doorstep today, the 11th. No problems with ‘croicky’ Customs.

Let me now show you the products that I picked.

CP-1 Raspberry Treatment Vinegar

IMG_20171111_172352-01.jpeg

Price: P350 / 500ml

Since my hair is super brittle and weak, I need a hair product that can effectively improve its condition. This vinegar hair treatment is said to keep the hair and scalp from getting too dry; to remove dirt; and to soften hair.

It has raspberry so there are no traces of vinegar scent to it. Unlike the ordinary vinegar, CP-1 Raspberry Treatment Vinegar doesn’t have to be diluted in water. After shampooing. simply sprinkle the product on the scalp and hair and gently massage. Then, rinse thoroughly with water. This is going to replace your conditioner so you don’t need to use one.

I’m pretty sure it’s gonna last long, 500ml is no booger. Hehe! By the way, I already used this today and I can already say my scalp has never felt cleaner!

Elizavecca CER-100 Collagen Ceramide Coating Protein Treatment

Price: P290 / 100ml

Yep! Another hair product, because I badly need it! This is said to be perfect for curly and light hair, as well as for damaged hair due to frequent dyeing, perming, and use of hair iron.

It contains pig skin collagen (so it’s definitely not for vegans), ceramide 3, soybean protein, and allantoin. Collagen is “a type of protein that gives our skin the ability to move, stretch, and rebound into shape”, and pig skin is said to be rich in collagen.

To use, apply the product all over towel-dried hair, leave it on for 5 minutes, then rinse hair with warm water. For best results, applying Elizavecca CER-100 Collagen Coating Protein Ion Injection to dry hair is recommended.

Elizavecca Milky Piggy Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask

Price: P550 / 100g

Christine highly recommends this, so I am giving it a shot. I’ve also been meaning to try a clay mask, since I have oily and acne-prone skin.

This bubble clay mask has carbonated water, collagen, green tea, and charcoal, which help cleanse pores. Since it has carbonated water, bubbles will appear after about 5 minutes. This is said to maximize the effect of the mask.

Clio Micro Fine Oil Control Fix Mist

IMG_20171111_172905-01.jpeg

Price: P494 / 80ml

I have oily skin and aside from primer, one of my must-haves is a setting spray. This oil control mist is said to reduce sebum and keep the makeup fresh and clean all day.

I have high hopes for this. Can’t wait to try it!

Aritaum Full Cover Liquid Concealer

IMG_20171111_172657-2.jpeg

Price: P340 / 25ml

I’ve been so intrigued with this concealer! So many beauty enthusiasts have been saying that the coverage is impressive you’ll only need a little amount to conceal your dark spots. I wonder if it’s as good as the Clio one. (I actually mistook it for Clio. hehe!)

I’m currently using Maybelline Fit Me Concealer, and though I like using it to highlight certain areas on my face, I am not very satisfied with its coverage.

Rire Luxe Gel Tattoo

IMG_20171111_172829-01.jpeg

Price: P320 / 7g

Korean women love using this, and so are some Filipinas. I’m gonna try this out, so I could, you know, wake up with kilay! :p

I’m a little scared, though. I hope I won’t mess it up, ‘cuz this product is said to last 7 days! I chose the shade Gray Brown, since I have black brows and roots.

Peripera Peri’s Ink Velvet

IMG_20171111_172731-01.jpeg

Price: P370 / 8g

Another very intriguing product. Among the lip tint lovers, this has got to be one of the items in their faves list. They claim to last 6 hours, so we don’t need to constantly retouch.

Because I was SUPER intrigued, I already tried it on. The applicator does not bend, but it doesn’t really bother me at all. It does have a velvety finish, so my lips didn’t feel dry at all. It has a moussy texture, and it does not dry down to matte. However, I find the scent too strong. It smells like candy, but it’s a little overpowering. I think it’s better applied thinly and blended in with a finger.

By the way, I picked the shade Celeb Deep Rose (No. 6).

Calmia Silky Perfect Foot Peeling Pack

IMG_20171111_172930-01.jpeg

Price: P200

This is one of those foot peeling packs that promise healthy and silky baby’s feet, after removing dead skin cells and calluses on the feet. This pack includes a pair of special socks and peeling liquid.

Supposedly, my feet will start peeling 4-6 days after use. After that, feet that look and feel like a baby’s will be revealed. I can’t wait to try these!

Y.E.T. Don’t Worry Mask Sheet – Police Mask (Oil Control)

IMG_20171111_172950-01.jpeg

Price: P24 each

It has three variants: Heart Beating Mask (nutrition), Infant Mask (anti-wrinkle), and Police Mask (oil control). Since my main issue is my “oil factory”, I picked the one that could address my problem properly.

Boom Deah Dah Everyday Masks

IMG_20171111_173015-01.jpeg

Price: P20 each

I picked all 8 variants: Honey (nourishing), Olive (nourishing), Aloe (moisturizing), Green Tea (moisturizing), Rice (brightening), Lemon Lime (brightening), Berry (tightening), and Pomegranate (tightening). Five of these have been added to the prizes to my giveaway. The rest will be included in my stash.

I have only tried Berry, I loved the scent and how it felt on my skin. It was so cool and relaxing. For such a very affordable price, it’s worth stocking up on.

Thanks so much, Althea, pixies and mermaids!
