“And I have no concept of time other than it is flying…”
– Alanis Morrisette, All I Really Want
I can’t believe the first quarter of 2018 is already ending. I always feel like time passes by too quickly I can hardly keep up!
Anyway, I have been meaning to post my favorite makeup and skin care items, but I don’t know why I haven’t done so. 😅 Since it’s already the end of March, I guess it’s just fitting that I post my first quarter faves!
99.9% of the products in my possession are all close to my heart, but these quarterly favorites that I’ll be posting are the ones that I’ve been using repeatedly from the time this year started.
I listed everything down in my notebook first, so that I won’t miss a thing. However, I still made quite a long list and I can’t get myself to remove a thing. 😅
Let’s start with skin care. Remember that skin care and makeup always go hand in hand. The finish of our makeup depends on the condition of our skin. The condition of our skin will also depend on how we take care of it after we remove our makeup.
Nature Skin Secrets Detox Mask with Black Combo
Super affordable deep pore cleansing mask. You can read my full review here.
Boom Deah Dah Sheet Masks
The first Boom Deah Dah I’ve used is the Berry one. It was included in the loot bag that I got during MJ’s (Vanity Room Philippines) Meet and Greet. They’re super affordable pa! Giving away 5 of these, kaya join ka na sa giveaway ko! 😘
Nature Skin Secrets Black Toner
Its main ingredient is activated charcoal, hence the black color. It deeply cleanses the skin and removes impurities. Read my full review here.
Opulence Time to Glow White + Renew
It’s a lightweight night cream that helps rejuvenate your skin. It’s made with natural ingredients so you’re in good hands. Super love the scent, too! 😉 Read my full review here.
Navajo Bentonite Clay Mask
I was really impressed the first time I used it. Even if I have only tried it with water, it still effectively cleared my pores and dried up some of my small pimples. If you want more info on this product, you can read my review here. Or watch here ⤵
CosRX Clear Fit Master Patch
I am hugely grateful to whoever thought of this. With these patches, I am so confident to apply makeup and go out even with a pesky acne. My friend AZ has posted a review on this product. You can read it here.
Althea Bare Essentials Set
Believe it or not, I feel like I have finally found the products I am going to stick with through and through. Not just because I love Althea, but also because these products really work! I love how gentle they are no matter how frequently I use them. I am super addicted to the Primer Water! Full review here.
I used to have only a few makeup items so picking a favorite was quite difficult back then. Of course they were all my favorites, that’s why I purchased them. But with some luck, I received some product through giveaways, loot bags, and even a mysterious package. My makeup family is slowly growing.
Again, the items are listed in random order. These are the makeup products I’ve been frequently picking up.
Becca x Chrissy Teigen Glow Face Palette
I wouldn’t have purchased this if it hadn’t been for a CRAZY sale! If you’ve been in some makeup groups or if you’re a suki at Sephora, then you’ll know what I mean. 😜 Thanks to my beshy Christine’s quick hands, she was able to secure a slot!
Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector
Glow to the gods with one swipe! Always super grateful to my lovely beshy Christine for giving me this. I still can’t believe I own one now. Follow her on Instagram. Click here.
Urban Decay Heavy Metals
My FIRST EVER (oh my makeup gods) Urban Decay palette! Isn’t she a beauty?! All these colors and shimmers! 😍 I’m in love! Thanks to my friend/lodi! Follow Jumps on Instagram. Click here.
I am not a huge fan of roll-on water tints, but this Legend of the Blue Sea from Tancey Beauty has been my go-to for a quick fix at work.
Chica y Chico One Shot Eye Palette
One of my super must-haves! Or shall I say TWO? It’s either I use them on myself or on a small-time makeup gig. They’re very versatile. They’re not just for the eyes, they’re also used on the brows and the cheeks! Watch my video here ⤵
Clio Kill Cover Pro Artis Liquid Concealer
Amazing coverage and blendability! Just a little bit is needed to cover a particular area. A little truly goes a long way with this product. Watch the video below to see it in action ⤵
Of course, the tools that I’ve been frequently using must be shown some appreciation, too!
Anne Clutz Ultimate Beginners Brush Set
When I found out through Anne Clutz’s video that this set was already available at Shopee and that it only cost FIVE HUNDRED FRIGGIN PESOS, wala nang sabi-sabi, wala nang patumpik-tumpik pa, I placed an order agad-agad! Then ten minutes later, it was OUT OF STOCK. I’m super into these brushes, that’s why I’ve been constantly using them. They’ll be available again this April. So if you’re one of those who weren’t able to purchase from the first release, then better be ready! They sell like hotcakes!
Miss Bella PH Beauty Sponge
This is the softest sponge I’ve ever laid my hands on! It is said to be the perfect dupe for the Beauty Blender, but you can’t trust me on that. I have never had a Beauty Blender, 😜 but that’s what I heard from others who have. Watch me using this sponge and the brushes in this video:
Paintbox Artistry Brush and Cosmetics Sanitizer
For someone who’s often too lazy to wash makeup brushes, this is a golden item! Since it has a citrus scent, it doesn’t smell like chemical or alcohol at all. It instantly cleans my brush and dries fast. This was also included in my Full Face of First Impressions video ⬆.
Naked Glory Makeup Brush Cleaner
It’s not because I don’t have other makeup brush cleaners, because I still do. I still have the other brush cleaner, but I don’t use that anymore. It was so cute at first, but after washing all my brushes with it, the cute design was already gone. This one from Naked Glory is more foamy, which I love. It also smells so much better and leaves my brushes soft as it contains Argan oil! Not like the other one, the bristles get too dry and stiff. Also, Naked Glory cleans my brushes and my sponge more quickly than the other one, making such a tedious job so much easier!
Which ones here are your favorites, too?
