Opulence is a local brand that makes good quality skin care products. I’ve used their Time to Glow Brightening Set, and if you want to read about my experience with it, please click  here.

They’ve been UBER-ly generous to send me some of their products which all came in a very cute pink box called the “Love Box by Opulence”.

I posted a quick unboxing video on my IG stories and on Facebook.

As you’ve seen in the video, inside the box were five items.

  1. Ultra White Protect Glow Booster Body Lotion with SPF 30
  2. Luscious Caramel Facial Mousse Cream
  3. Ultra White Protec Glycolic Peel Whitening Soap
  4. Ultra White Protect Skin Clarifying Soap
  5. Ultra White Protect Charcoal Detox Whitening Soap

I’ll be posting separate reviews on the soaps, but I’ll give you my first impressions on the other two products here. I’m currently using the Charcoal Detox Whitening Soap, and I asked my Gerpren May (my childhood bestfriend!) to use the Skin Clarifying Soap. I’ll post her review once we’re almost done with the soaps.

First Impressions

Ultra White Protect Glow Booster Body Lotion with SPF 30

This luxurious whitening body lotion help stops [sic] melanin production, stimulates skin rejuvenation, and prevent formation of pigmented spots that cause skin darkening. Start flaunting your white glowing skin now.

According to their website, it retails for P650 but can be bought now for P495. I think the product is somewhat pricey, but I believe it’s reasonable since it has Glutathione, Rosehip Oil, Vitamins C and E, Claire Blanche, and Sunblock. These ingredients are apparently not cheap-o! So I think that price won’t hurt. 😉

I love that it has a pump that easily dispenses the product. It smells so good, it’s as sweet as a flower. It has a thick consistency so a small pump would be enough for each arm. It may take a while before it completely blends in the skin, because of its consistency. But once it does, it gives a nice brightening effect, without leaving any white cast.

The only problem is this season. 🌞Because it’s hot and humid (Hello, 34° C!), I sweat easily AF and my skin feels a little sticky. The product settles on the hair so I have to keep rubbing gently. On a brighter note, it feels so moisturizing; there’s no itch, no white lines, no cracks, and no flaking.

Final thoughts:

Luscious Caramel Facial Mousse Cream

Helps lighten skin, prevents and corrects fine lines and deep wrinkles.

The website says it retails for P450, but you can get it now for P200. It has 20g of product housed in a small jar. I highly appreciate that it has a plastic lid separating the product that’s inside the container and the screw cap.

It looks like a frozen chocolate ice cream! So tempting! 😅 Since it’s mousse, it feels like a dry cream, if that makes sense? It’s cream but when applied, it feels powdery. This does not have any coverage at all, but it mattifies the face and brightens the complexion. As for the scent, it does smell like caramel. 👌

I first tried it on my bare face, which I don’t recommend. Some product tend to settle in the dry patches of my skin, as well as on my acne scars. Better prep the skin first before applying this product.

Another thing that I don’t like about it is that it melts when I sweat, even when I set it with powder. In addition, if you shy away from products with paraben, I’m afraid you won’t like to have this.

Final thoughts:

As for the tree soaps, I really like their packaging and that there is enough information on the box. I’ve been using the Charcoal Detox one for more than two weeks now, and I still have half of it left.

As mentioned above, I’ll be posting a more detailed review on the two soaps May and I have been using. So I hope you watch out for that. All I can say for now is, we’re liking it so far. 😉
