Pristine Jeju Green Tea

Whether you’re working or a student, time is definitely something we do not have privilege of or power over. Most of the time, our already exhausted body just wants to go straight to bed and catch more Z’s, rather than to spend more or less an hour on completing a long and tedious skin care routine. Because of this, we tend to sleep with makeup, sebum, dirt, gunk, and pollution sitting on our face and cozily sinking deeper into our pores.

Night skin care routines are critical because it is at night when the skin cell regeneration is most active. This is the time when the product boosts the skin’s natural regeneration process. So with the right product, our skin will surely be purified and will be ready for a beauty rest.

Green Tea is known for its powerful antioxidant that slows down ageing. This Skin Detoxer has young, delicate green leaves from Jeju Island plantations. The baby green tea leaves are said to contain 5 times more Vitamin C than lemon, which means they can give higher protection from the UV rays.

This product has bits of real green tea leaves. You can even feel its grainy texture once applied on the skin. I normally use this after washing my face with Althea Contour Cleanser. With my face still damp, I apply quite a generous amount of the product and spread it all over my face. After 10 seconds, I massage it in circular motions adding a little more water. The mask starts to become foamy as it comes in contact with water. Finally, I rinse it off with water.

According to the instructions, though, we should apply the Skin Detoxer all over dry face. I tried this method tonight to see what difference it would make. I noticed that because of its thick, gooey consistency, it’s a little harder to spread out. The grainy texture due to the bits of green tea leaves was more apparent. I left it on my face for 10 seconds as usual and did the rest of the steps.

I prefer using this on my freshly washed damp face for easier application.

I really love how this product smells. It gives off pretty much the same fragrance that other green tea products have. People who are sensitive to scents may find it a bit strong, but as for me, I find it relaxing and I love how good my face smells afterwards.

As a result, my skin feels and looks super clean and fresh every after use. It’s bouncy and has a silk-like texture when I touch it. Also, my mornings feel great without the usual grease.

Premium Handpicked May Rose

When my work was a couple of hours away from home, I completely neglected most of my morning routines – breakfast, skin care, grooming. I chose to stay in bed longer that getting up for a quick meal. I would often have my morning coffee at work. Because I was always in a hurry, I usually brushed my hair while walking (half-running) outside. I would just pat on some powder and swipe a little lipstick while on the jeepney.

If you’re like me, then I guess this quick routine would be a big help. Without requiring too much of your time, you can easily squeeze this in while in the bath.

Rose, in itself, already has anti-inflammatory properties that help calm and reduce irritation and redness. It can also remove oil and dirt giving the skin a clean, radiant glow.

May Rose, which only blooms once in a year in Grasse, France, is 5 times more effective than a normal rose. They are only gathered by handpicking and can now be found and experienced in this 150ml tube. The real rose petal pieces help purify and improve blood circulation, making the skin supple and bright.

Rose or Roast?

The Rose Skin Detoxer has the same gooey texture and consistency as the Green Tea one. The rose petals are super gentle; they never hurt my skin. I can definitely feel it when I spread it out all over my face, but it is not abrasive. It is yellowish pink that’s almost transparent, in contrast to the dark green color of the other variant.

I use it in the exact same way that I do with the Green Tea. Every morning I wake up, I wash my face with my Contour Cleanser. Then on my already damp face, I smother the mask all over and leave it on for 10 seconds. Then I gently massage it using circular motion until it starts to become foamy. Then I rinse it off thoroughly, leaving my skin supple, clean, and bouncy.

This 10-second wash off mask has a floral scent to it, which is already something to be expected since rose is the main ingredient. Again, for people who are sensitive to scents, they might find this quite strong for their liking. But for me, I enjoy using fragrant products like this. My only issue with some fragrances is when it stings or creates an aftertaste. I don’t experience any of them.

There are so many things to love about these products – from the real green tea leaves from Jeju to the minimalist packaging; from the premium May rose from France to the super quick and easy skin care routine.

The products are fast and effective. They can give the same results that I normally get from using a 15-minute wash off mask. The ingredients are potent, that’s why 10 seconds is adequate; but are gentle enough that they can be used daily.
