For a loooooooooooooong time, I had been trying to come up with the best idea for my logo. I kept thinking what could really represent me. Because logos are the quickest way to show people what our channels or blogs are all about, we should be very specific about our concept.
I tried and tried to analyze myself. I tried to dig deeper and deeper… but to no avail. šŖ Anyway, I thought I didn’t need it yet, so I decided to just do it later.
Until two blogging gigs required me to send my logo, so I had no choice but to quickly make one. I really had no idea yet, so I GoogledĀ logo maker.Ā It showed me a few links, but the one that appealed to me the most was this:
This is FREE LOGO DESIGN!
In theĀ “COMPANY NAME”Ā bar, I typed my blog name which isĀ (halurr, obvz) RIKANOBELA. Then, I choseĀ “Fashion and Beauty” in the dropdown list of Category. After that, I clicked “Start” and it generated different styles which are actually really cute!
Because I wanted to see all the other logos it generated, I clickedĀ “View all logos”. There were five pages of different logos, but only 1 stood out. Not because of the icon, but because of the typeface.
I have been a huge fan of typewriters eversince I was really young. We never had one, but myĀ Nanay always borrowed from her friends when I needed it for my school projects. I used to type my test reviewers with it and even made my own tests!Ā Haha! That’s why one of the items in myĀ must-haves is a typewriter — aĀ manualĀ typewriter.
So when I saw this logo, I knew it was the one.
I clicked “Add” and it took me to the main work area:
As you can see, you can remove or add items, move them around, or change colors. Then I finally came up to this image:

Yes, that’s my phone screen! I only made mine with my Android phoneĀ (which is an Acer Liquid X2 that’s about 3 years old). I clickedĀ “Desktop Site”.
Then I asked Guil to translate the image of the girl into his own interpretation. ‘Cause what’s having an artist in the house for? š
So he drew this in his drawing book, which I later edited on Snapseed to remove the shadows on the image. I know it could be done on Photoshop, too, but I did it to lessen Guil’s work. š
Then he edited it on InkScape and Adobe Photoshop. I said I wanted the lipstick to be greenĀ (because, duh?! You should know by now why); the pizza on the forehead to represent food; the pizza is shaped like a lightning bolt to represent my being a Potterhead; and the bun because that’s how I usually do my hair.
As soon as he finished the image, I put everything together on Adobe Photoshop. As I mentioned earlier, I wanted everything to be a reflection of myself.
Because I am into writing and stationery, and I fancy it so much, I just had to add the blue-red-blue pattern in pad papers,Ā (also to match my YouTube video background). To make it even more personal, I did my name in my own handwriting through Instagram Stories!
And the final product:
Then I thought adding the links would be better…
Of course, I also made one for my YouTube channel…
I’m really happy how it turned out. Super big THANKS to Guil, I always knew we’re a perfect team.Ā Haha!
So, yeah. If you’re thinking of making your own logo, you might wanna try using FREE LOGO DESIGN to conceptualize, and work from there.
