It is said that our skin’s barrier is down at night so it is a great time to apply skincare products. The products that we apply penetrate more easily, so the skin can readily absorb their nourishing properties.
During the day, our skin is exposed to damage, UV rays, pollution, and other harmful environmental factors. We need to get rid of the oils, dirt, and other impurities accumulated by it. As our skin rests at night, it is best to apply products that can help repair and improve it. Then we can wake up with fresher and better-looking skin.
Mochi-Mochi!

Who doesn’t love mochi?! 😍 It’s super soft, sweet, and truly palatable. 🤤 Olay has created a night cream that has been inspired by this delectable Japanese rice cake, and I think it’s a really cute idea!
Olay Natural White Light Night 2-in-1 Facial Cream provides nourishment and hydration while we sleep so we can wake up to hydrated and glowing skin. It also claims to even skin tone, to reduce the look of dark spots, and to lighten and brighten the skin.

Because it also promises brightening and aqua boost, we can expect our skin to be as soft and supple as a mochi!
Olay Natural White Light Night
The product comes in a sachet with a twist cap, which I find really convenient, as well as hygienic. It can be carried around anytime and anywhere, without having to worry about messing up our bags or kits.

There are 6 sachets in a box, and each sachet of 7.5g retails for P45. I think the price isn’t bad at all since night creams can be pretty costly.
The product is a milky white cream that’s thin and lightweight. It becomes watery as I gently rub it in, so it is absorbed more easily. It also smells really nice; it has a relaxing floral scent to it.

So, does it really make the skin feel as soft as mochi?
Well, my skin needs a lot of work, but I can say that Olay Natural White Night Light does an excellent job of hydrating my skin. My face feels soft in the morning and it doesn’t get greasy, which is a clear sign that it’s hydrated all night. It gives my skin a healthy glow, too.
Here’s a comparison photo of my hand before and after applying Olay Natural White Light Night 2-in-1 Facial Cream:

As you can see in the Before photo, the skin on the back of my hand looked dry and dull. After applying the product, my skin looks glowing and healthy.
As for its claims of reducing the appearance of my dark spots, specifically my acne marks, I would say that there hasn’t been much difference yet – something I can expect from other night creams. I assume that if I continually use it, my acne marks will lighten eventually.
Final thoughts

I really like the effect of Olay Natural White Light Night on my skin, especially when I wake up in the morning. It is affordable, so it won’t hurt our pockets.
However, I just need to point out that it contains Ethylparaben and Propylparaben. If you are too cautious about products with paraben, then I cannot recommend this to you. I am not a huge fan of products with paraben, but I also understand that these products have been approved by the FDA. This means that the amount of paraben used is within their safety standards.
On the bright side, this contains ingredients that are truly beneficial to our skin. It has milk lipids and extracts of white mulberry, jujube, apple, grapefruit, lime, orange, and lemon, which help nourish, repair, and brighten the skin.
I believe this is available in many, if not all, supermarkets and drugstores nationwide. Check the nearest one and try it yourself!
