Hello! How’s everybody doing? I know it’s been pretty crazy with COVID-19 and many of us have been stricken with fear.
Now, let me first share with you what I’ve recently learned. (Thanks to @thistimelessbeing for sharing it!) Since the coronavirus seems to target those with chronic diseases and compromised immune systems, it is believed that the best we can do is to stay calm and healthy.
What with all the fearmongering news and social media posts, which obviously aren’t helping much when it comes to our well-being as a whole, people start to panic and get too stressed.
Fear, however, releases cortisol, which is a stress hormone. And when we are stressed, the ability of our immune system to fight off diseases is reduced. So, if we let ourselves get consumed with fear, we are putting our health at risk.
So keep calm and do the Ellana challenge!
Ellana Minerals are encouraging the beauty community to lighten the mood and lift spirits by starting the #DontTouchYourFace challenge!
“Since the WHO has advised the general public to avoid touching our faces, Ellana has designed the #DontTouchYourFace Makeup Challenge as a humourous way for the beauty community to play with makeup, while playing it safe. By doing so, we hope to boost overall morale in the community, while also spreading awareness about good makeup hygiene!”
The challenge is to create a video of us putting on makeup without touching our faces. We should show that the products and tools are sanitized as well.
I think it is a really fun challenge, and because it also raises awareness, I think it would be great to go ahead and do it!
Here’s my take on the challenge.
Most of the products I used are from Ellana, of course. But I also used other products to create the look.
Because of this, I was reminded of how much fun I had with TikTok! I first posted on TikTok back in 2018 and posted a video in 2019 but it had been stagnant until today. 😅
Anyway, here’s the final look:
It was really fun doing the challenge, and at the same time, it was good that it raises awareness and it reminds the people not to touch their faces.
WHO’S GAME?! Are you up for the challenge?!
