Hitting two birds with one stone with AXIS-Y Cera-Heart My Type Duo Cream

Got combination skin? Hunting for a moisturizer that perfectly suits your needs? Thank yourself for coming here. 😉

I, too, have combination skin and I know finding a suitable moisturizer can be a bit tricky. What many of us should understand is that all skin types need moisturizer, be it dry or oily. It just depends on what type of moisturizer we use.

Dry skin lacks natural oils so it needs thicker and richer creams; whereas oily skin lacks water so it needs water-based products. Combination skin needs both, which is why I find the AXIS-Y Cera-Heart My Type Duo Cream the perfect product for it.

“This Duo Cream features two completely unique cream formulations to tend to your skin’s moisturizing needs. The T-Zone Cream is a lightweight, Heartleaf based cream that hydrates oily skin while the U-Zone Cream is a rich, Ceramide based cream that nourishes dry skin.

Ceramide U-Zone Cream

Water, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Isohexadecane, Sodium Hyaluronate, Ceramide NP (20%), Sorbitan Stearate, Glyceryl Stearate, Microcrystalline Wax, Sorbitol, Centella Asiatica Extract, Candelilla Cera, Sorbitan Sesquioleate, Sorghum Bicolor Leaf/Stem Extract, Aspergillus Ferment, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Salicornia Herbacea Extract, Phragmites Communis Extract, Chlorphenesin Arginine, Carbomer, Xantham Gum, Ethylhexylglycerin

Heartleaf T-Zone Cream

Water, Propanediol, Glycerin, Sodium Hyaluronate, Butylene Glycol, Sorbitol, Isohexadecane, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Houttuynia Cordata Extract, Betaine, Centella Asiatica Extract, Glyceryl Stearate, Salvia Officinalis (Sage) Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Sorghum Bicolor Leaf/Stem Extract, Aspergillus Ferment, Chlorphenesin, Arginine, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Allantoin, Sorbitan Sesquioleate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Xantham Gum, Guaiazulene

The Ceramide U-Zone Cream is, as the name suggests, for the U-Zone of our face. The U-Zone includes the temples, cheeks, and chin. It has fewer oil production glands compared to the rest of the face, that’s why they tend to be drier. That’s why, the Ceramide U-Zone cream has a richer and thicker consistency than the Heartleaf T-Zone Cream. Most of the ingredients in the Ceramide U-Zone cream, such as Butylene Glycol, Jojoba Seed Oil, and Ceramide contain properties that moisturize and lock in moisture preventing the skin from getting dry.

The Heartleaf T-Zone Cream, on the other hand, is for the forehead and the nose where there is a large number of oil production glands. This cream has a lighter consistency, almost gel-like, which gives instant hydration without making the skin greasy. The blue hue naturally comes from Guaiazulene which acts as an antioxidant and also gives a cooling sensation when applied. Sage Extract and Licorice Extract soothe the skin and promotes skin radiance. It also has antioxidants that protect the skin against free radicals.

Both have Aspergillus Ferment that brightens the skin and fights hyperpigmentation. It also prevents anti-aging and acne. They also have Centella Asiatica that calms irritation, restores skin cells, and builds collagen.

What it claims

“A ‘U Zone’ and ‘T Zone’ based cream to meet your skin’s year round, ever-changing moisturizing needs for a youthful glow.”

What it looks like

Since there are two different creams, the tub is divided into two equal partitions. There is only one inner lid, though, which I personally do not fancy. I’d prefer a separate inner lid for each cavity so that I do not need to expose both at the same time. The plastic tub is sturdy, it doesn’t feel cheap at all. It also comes with a spatula so we don’t need to dip our fingers directly to the product.

Both the Ceramide U-Zone Cream and the Heartleaf T-Zone Cream have a gel-like consistency, but the former is slightly thicker. You can distinguish each product by their colors: white for the Ceramide U-Zone Cream and blue for the Heartleaf T-Zone Cream.

What I think of AXIS-Y Cera Heart My Type Duo Cream

I think it’s brilliant! What I love about it is that it can be used in various ways:

  • using each of the creams for what they’re specifically made for – one for the drier area or the U-zone and the other one for the oilier area or the T-zone;
  • using the Heartleaf T-Zone Cream for daytime since it’s lighter and thinner, and Cermaide U-Zone Cream for nighttime since it’s slightly thicker; and
  • mixing the two creams and then using it day and night.

It’s actually like getting two products but paying for one!

AXIS-Y Cera-Heart My Type Duo Cream gives my skin instant hydration without making it greasy. It does not have artificial fragrances that may cause irritation. So the light and fresh scent naturally comes from its plant-based ingredients. This is why it can be used on any skin types (plus, it’s perfect for vegans!).

As you have read, there are many reasons why, I think, you should try this product. For only $27 you’re skin can get extra tender loving care! Get the AXIS-Y Cera-Heart My Type Duo Cream here!
