The serum that has saved my stressed skin | AXIS-Y Advanced Aqua Boosting Ampoule

Hi! I know it’s been a while since I last updated this page. Things haven’t been so smooth the past few months and my cortisol soared like an enchanted Bludger. If it hadn’t been for the skincare products I’ve been using, my skin would’ve been super awful. Good thing AXIS-Y got my back.

Serums are an essential item in my skincare routine. Most especially at this time in my life! Even when the toner I use is already good, I need something that not only boosts hydration but also locks in the moisture so my skin won’t have to look like a raisin. (I love raisins, though!)

I have tried the Korean 7 to 10 steps skincare routine, but given that I have such a tight schedule, I had to reduce it to only 4 or 5. I like double-cleansing, so that’s 2, then toner, then serum, then finally, moisturizer.

With the right products, a quick skincare routine can still give me the same effect as when I have a long one.

See how much I love this product? I’m about to finish my bottle.

By the way, you can read my review on AXIS-Y Aqua Boosting Essence Toner here.

AXIS-Y Advanced Aqua Boosting Ampoule

“A highly moisturizing ampoule containing 10-Hyaluronic Acid and six premium natural ingredients. This combination of ingredients hydrate and lock in moisture to reach 10 layers deep into the skin delivering a refreshing burst of hydration that creates a silky and smooth finish.”

What’s in it?

If you’ve been reading my posts about AXIS-Y, you’ll know by now that they only use plant-based ingredients, so this is a good serum to have if you’re vegan or if you have sensitive skin and are in need of a serum.

What’s really good about this product is that, despite its gentle ingredients, the effectiveness and potency aren’t compromised.

Here are the ingredients:

Water, Dipropylene Glycol, Butylene Glycol, PVP, Glycerin, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP Copolymer, Polyglyceryl-10 Laurate, Caprylyl Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Glyceryl Glucoside, Oenothera Biennis (Evening Primrose) Flower Extract, Ulmus Davidiana Root Extract, Pueraria Lobata Root Extract, Pinus Palustris Leaf Extract, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Tocopherol, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Centella Asiatica Extract, Madecassic Acid, Asiatic Acid, Madecassoside, Asiaticoside, Sodium Hyaluronate, Hydroxypropyltrimonium Hyaluronate, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Sodium Acetylated Hyaluronate, Hyaluronic Acid, Hydrolyzed Sodium Hyaluronate, Sodium Hyaluronate Crosspolymer, Potassium Hyaluronate, Disodium EDTA, Hydroxyacetophenone, Ethylhexylglycerin

According to their website, their 6 base ingredients are as follows:

  • Centella Asiatica that boosts skin’s natural healing process to prevent acne scars;
  • Purslane that soothes and maintains healthy-looking skin;
  • Madecassic Acid, which provides rich nutrients and prevents skin damage;
  • Asiatica Acid that helps to maintain healthy and smooth skin;
  • Asiaticoside, which helps improve skin damage, elasticity, and reduce pores; and
  • Madecassoside that strengthens the skin barrier and regenerate damaged skin.

Its core ingredient is Hyaluronic Acid which helps skin retain moisture and build up cell wall density for tighter and minimized pores.

In addition, they have ANTI SEBUM P(HD) 0.5% as their effective technology, which consists of Evening primrose, Arrowroot, Pine Needles, and Elm Root complex that suppress active oxygen in the skin. This also helps regenerate damaged skin, controls sebum secretion, helps pore care, and acts as an antibacterial agent.

What I think about AXIS-Y Advanced Aqua Boosting Ampoule

I may already sound biased if I say “I love it!” But I do love it. The fact that it’s almost gone is a clear sign that I love this product that much.

Despite its consistency, it isn’t sticky or heavy. Tackiness is the least you’d want in a climate like ours. It may be a little tacky upon application, but it goes away once the skin has absorbed it. It also makes my skin a good base for makeup because it smoothens and protects it.

It also does not have a fragrance so it doesn’t irritate my eyes and my nose. PLUS, it’s super affordable! For only US$18 you’ll get 30ml of this amazing product.

Let me just add that I am a huge fan of their clean and simple packaging. I highly recommend this product. I’m definitely buying this serum.
