Soooo…. I tried something new – KETO BAKING!
I love bread, but I can’t have it as much or as often as I want, because… carbs.
I’ve been on a [dirty] low-carb diet for a couple of years now and it has helped me – so much – with my weight loss. (Of course with fasting, morning runs, and workouts!)

I still eat pasta, pizza, and burger occasionally, but I am careful not to indulge. Unlike in my 20s, I now gain weight quite easily.
I was delighted to learn about keto baking! I found that it is easy and it doesn’t need so many ingredients.
The recipes aren’t mine, I just found them on Google. I’ll share the link with you in a bit.
First, let me show you my first Keto Loaf Bread.
I was super nervous because it was my first time baking from scratch. I didn’t want to waste any ingredients, so I tried to make sure I was doing the right thing. The only baking experience I had was with a ready-to-bake cake mix.

It turned out alright, the only problem was that I poured too much of the batter into the loaf pan. So I couldn’t slide the lid on when it expanded. But I was suuuuuuper happy because I f*in made bread! How cool is that? 😄
Note: I have a small oven so I use the smallest loaf pan, 7.3″ x 4″.
The recipe is actually just right for this loaf pan, it’s just that the eggs that I used on my first try were quite big. So when I poured all the batter, it filled 3/4 of my loaf pan.
But all the succeeding ones turned out so much nicer. I’ve made one for my mom and one for my brother and sister-in-law, and they all gave it a 👍🏻! 💯 Approved!

I’ve done it quite a lot of times now and I’d say I’ve been doing better at it.
(That’s a Konka oven, by the way. Bought it in Lazada for a super affordable price. It fits just right on my small counter and it’s perfect for me since I don’t really need to bake a lot.)
I’ve made several sandwiches with it like these ones:

Next, Keto Bacon Cheese Rolls!
I super love the taste, but I just can’t seem to get the shape right. 😅 It has to be fuller and more rounded. I’ll still have to figure this one out.

I really love its crusty surface. Also, just a couple of pieces of this can already satiate my cravings.
After that, I tried hotdogs instead of bacon, and I also omitted the garlic powder. It tasted just like a normal bun without the garlic powder.

The recipe calls for a microwave. But since I don’t have one, I only melted the cream cheese and mozzarella on low heat on a stovetop.

I don’t know how many times I’ve made (and will make) Keto loaf bread and I’ll surely make more Bacon Cheese Rolls as soon as I restock on mozzarella cheese. I enjoyed making these and I feel so proud I was able to bake my own bread! They’re super easy and fun!
Would you try them?
