Okay. Before you begin, let me just say that these are MY thoughts. I am posting this because I am GRAVELY curious and I want to know if any of you have noticed the same.
If you’re really willing to read this, okay PUSH, ‘TEH!
Despite my desire of getting over-the-top highend brands, as a budgetarian beauty enthusiast mudra, I look for good eyeshadow palettes that are within my budget.
I know dupes are quite controversial, because the original brands didn’t work hard on their concept just to be copied by other smaller brands. But I, myself, am guilty of getting dupes because I also want to experience some makeup items without having to splurge.
Dupes, by the way, are different from knock-offs. The latter is an actual replica of a particular item – from the box to the logo to the shades. They are usually made by unknown companies, that’s why they’re unsafe since you can’t get any information on the manufacturer. In case something bad happens, you won’t know who to go after.
Dupes are usually created by smaller indie companies, whose color story may be similar to a high end product, but bearing different shade names, palette name, and design.
I have been collecting empty boxes, jars, and bottles for months, because I’ve planned on posting my “product empties”. My mom was already eyeing on them and was itching to throw them away. So I just kept them all in a shoe box.
Actually not all. 😪 I got rid of some because I kept forgetting that I’d be posting my empties!
I have been meaning to post this, but see, it took me ages before I actually did! Thanks to Dee! I am finally doing it.
So yeah, I’m doing this in collaboration with Dee, and you can check out her blog here.
Dee and I collaborated last December 2017 on YouTube, and we both did a Holiday Glam makeup look.
This time we’re doing a collab on our respective blogs. I’m so excited to know what products she’s used up, and whether or not she’s going to get them again.
Mine consists of products that I used up from way, way back. Everything is listed in random order.

I can’t believe the first quarter of 2018 is already ending. I always feel like time passes by too quickly I can hardly keep up!
Anyway, I have been meaning to post my favorite makeup and skin care items, but I don’t know why I haven’t done so. 😅 Since it’s already the end of March, I guess it’s just fitting that I post my first quarter faves!
99.9% of the products in my possession are all close to my heart, but these quarterly favorites that I’ll be posting are the ones that I’ve been using repeatedly from the time this year started.
First of all, I’d like to thank Ms. Trish of Opulence for sending over their Time to Glow Face Brightening Set. Rest assured, everything I’m writing here is purely my honest opinion. Everything is going to be based on my personal experience.
Prior to this I had a different routine, which consisted of some other local products, Korean brands, and Opulence White + Renew. I stopped using the other products for a good seven days, and used only the products from Opulence. I wanted to be sure that any changes that would occur were solely because of these products.
Back in October of last year, I was lucky to be a part of the first Meet & Greet and the third blog-versarry of MJ Perez of Vanity Room Philippines! The event was fun-filled and was truly inspiring. I loved that he wanted to share his blessings, not only to us – his friends/followers, but also to the less privileged children.
After the charity event, we had a sumptuous dinner at Dong Juan where we also played fun games and received loot bags filled (literally) with skin care products!
The product is housed in a round transparent acrylic pot with white screw cap. The label has all the basic information that you’ll need to know – what it is for, the amount of product in the container, what it is made of, where and when it was made, how to use it, and when the expiration date is. First things first, let me begin this post by telling you some things that must be considered:
I had not used any toners before I got this. It’s been ages since I last used one.
I was having a bad skin day when I received it – more like bad skin dayS – so my skin was rough and I had several pimples on my forehead, somewhere on the cheeks, and around the mouth area.
I’m not a doll so I don’t have a perfect skin. I’ve had pimple marks and scars and that’s that.
I don’t get facials. The first and the last time I did was at Flawless Sta. Rosa back in 2016, and that’s how I got my huge pimple scar on my right cheek underneath my eye. I had an acne when I went there, and my attendant pricked it.
Of course, this is not the only product that I’m currently using. However, I can tell that the results I got was from this product, since the other products were already being used even before I had the toner.
This product was sent to me to try and review.
DO NOTE, THOUGH, THAT I ALWAYS GIVE MY SUPER DUPER HONEST OPINION AND I BASE EVERYTHING ON HOW I FEEL DURING THE PROCESS AND HOW GOOD THE OUTCOME IS. SO IF I SAY I LOVE IT, THAT MEANS I LOVE IT, AND IF I SAY I HATE IT, THAT MEANS I HATE IT.
ALSO, REMEMBER THAT NOT BECAUSE IT WORKS FOR ME, IT WILL WORK FOR YOU. BUT WHO KNOWS? RIGHT? BETTER TRY IT AND SEE FOR YOURSELF. 😉

Previously, I posted a product from Nature Skin Secrets and that was their Detox Mask with Black Combo. I honestly loved the result the product gave me, so despite the lack of information on the labels and my messy first time experience, I still recommend this mask. It’s just a matter of knowing how to properly use it.
Fortunately for me, the kind people behind the brand loved my review so they sent me a couple of their other products to try. They even included a cosmetic bowl with a spoon and a brush. (Thanks so much, Ms. Maui and Ms. Cecil! 💕)
