Last time I availed of a subscription box was back in 2016. It was also around Christmas season when promos were too tempting to ignore. Click here to know why I never subscribed to them again (like EVER).
A few months ago, a new shop on Instagram was launched. They offer glam pouches that contain 4-5 beauty items, which you can purchase once or every month. Their IG posts are really enticing as most of them show Sunnies Face Fluffmattes, which are undoubtedly the hottest lippies in the country.
They even formed a beauty community on Facebook where members can share or ask anything that’s beauty related. They also created their own group of ambassadors who were supposed to receive pouches from them to promote them on social media. They seemed really promising, the people behind them seemed nice, but what pulled my trigger is what I found in my pouch. I could tolerate the delay, though that alone was already disappointing.
Still have no idea what it is? Keep on reading.

Last June 29th, I shared with you the biggest blogging milestone I’ve reached so far. I have been named as one of the Althea Angels, Althea’s Beauty Ambassador Community. (Yay! Thanks so much for the support!)
As one of the Althea Angels, I will get first dibs on Althea exclusives and promos before the public announcement. Also, Althea sent us a super special Welcome Gift that was packaged in their classic pink box. Only, instead of Althea, it says “Angels” on the top right portion of the cover and a cute typography across it that says “Althea Angels”. Continue reading “Althea’s Welcome Gift to their Angels👼”
Opulence is a local brand that makes good quality skin care products. I’ve used their Time to Glow Brightening Set, and if you want to read about my experience with it, please click here.
They’ve been UBER-ly generous to send me some of their products which all came in a very cute pink box called the “Love Box by Opulence”.
I posted a quick unboxing video on my IG stories and on Facebook. Continue reading “UNBOXING + FIRST IMPRESSIONS: Love Box by OPULENCE ❤”
“You’re worth more than gold.” -unknown
The past year was definitely like being on a giant swing. Adventurous. Thrilling. Terrifying. Exciting. Nauseating.
It wasn’t really that bad, actually. There were still a lot of things to be grateful for. One of these amazing things was being given the opportunity to try the products in this cleverly curated box from Althea! (Thanks, Ms. Tammy and to Althea Mermaid and Pixies! 😘)
Few weeks ago, I was given the privilege to pick among their three holiday boxes: the Red Sparkling Box (P1420), the Gold Sparkling Box (P1,330), and the Black Sparkling Box (P1,460). (Obviously, I picked the gold one. Hehe!) Unfortunately, as of this writing, the Gold Sparkling Box is out of stock! You can still purchase the other two boxes, but you need to hurry! ‘Cause they sell like hotcakes! Continue reading “Bring out the sparkles in you! | UNBOXING: ALTHEA’S Gold Sparkling Box”
A couple of months ago, Althea held the Petal Velvet Powder Selfie Contest where they’d be choosing 10 lucky winners of $50 worth of Althea shopping credits. Thanks to my girl Christine (@theglamourhour) for making me join. Had she not, I wouldn’t have had this rare opportunity!
The $50 shopping credits appeared on my Althea account on October 31st, as promised by one of their “pixies”. Prior to this, I had already picked all the items I wanted to get and added them all to cart. (The winners were announced beginning of October.) By the time I was ready to check out, some of the items had already been out of stock. So I had to go through their vast ocean of amazing Korean skin care and makeup products again.
Thanks again to my beshy Christine, I learned that I could use Althea’s Halloween promo code at that time to get 13% discount. So, yep! I got to pick more items just to use up all P2,600 ($50) credits.
Had it not been for the shopping credits and the promo code, I would’ve paid P3,194! I got a discount of P415.22 so I only had to pay P178.78.
The best part? I only had to wait 10 days! They’ve been consistent, by the way. This was the third time I purchased from them, and I have never been disappointed. They shipped out my parcel on the 1st of November, and it was delivered to my doorstep today, the 11th. No problems with ‘croicky’ Customs.
Let me now show you the products that I picked. Continue reading “I WON IN ALTHEA’S SELFIE CONTEST!”
Last year in December, I got my first SC Beauty Box during an event at the YouTube Lounge at Greenbelt. It was Say Tioco’s meet and greet. Prior to that, I had already subscribed to a 1-year plan. But in January, the SC PH team announced that they had to stop operations (for reasons I will not disclose). I was sad, of course, because it was the only affordable subscription box I found to be worth spending on. Some products in the box were not available in the Philippines.
Then this year in June, I saw that their FB page is still active, as well as their website. They had a promo, at that time, where they’d give a free BYS Nude palette when you subscribe to a plan. So I went over to their page and subscribed to their Savers Box, which was the cheapest one, priced at only about $10. I placed my order and checked out via PayPal; I used my GCash Mastercard to activate recurring payments.
According to them, I would receive the free eyeshadow palette on my third box AND that my June box would arrive in July. Come July, but not my box. Another payment was deducted, so that was when I started getting worried. But still, I graciously waited.
