My Best Friend and I Tested Out Pinoy Whitening Soaps | The Opulence Skin

Remember when I received a box of goodies from Opulence Skin Philippines? You can read my post here.

They generously gave me three variants of their whitening soap – the Ultra White Protect Glycolic Peel Whitening Soap, the Ultra White Protect Skin Clarifying Soap, and the Ultra White Protect Charcoal Detox Whitening Soap. I had my childhood best friend, May, whom I call Gerpren, try the Ultra White Protect Skin Clarifying Soap.

May and I were never lady-like or kikay. We were both too lazy to keep up with skin care routines, that’s why we consider ourselves “late bloomers” in the skin care category. We never trusted any whitening products since none of the ones we tried really showed any difference, that’s why we stuck to what we were already used to – regular bath soaps. (Hello, Safeguard!) First Quarter Faves 2018

I can’t believe the first quarter of 2018 is already ending. I always feel like time passes by too quickly I can hardly keep up!

Anyway, I have been meaning to post my favorite makeup and skin care items, but I don’t know why I haven’t done so. 😅 Since it’s already the end of March, I guess it’s just fitting that I post my first quarter faves!

99.9% of the products in my possession are all close to my heart, but these quarterly favorites that I’ll be posting are the ones that I’ve been using repeatedly from the time this year started.

Brighten face in 7 days?! | #RIXREVIEWS: OPULENCE Time to Glow Face Brightening Set

First of all, I’d like to thank Ms. Trish of Opulence for sending over their Time to Glow Face Brightening Set. Rest assured, everything I’m writing here is purely my honest opinion. Everything is going to be based on my personal experience.

Prior to this I had a different routine, which consisted of some other local products, Korean brands, and Opulence White + Renew. I stopped using the other products for a good seven days, and used only the products from Opulence. I wanted to be sure that any changes that would occur were solely because of these products.

What is Opulence Skin?

Opulence Skin offers skin care products that are all made in the Philippines. According to their website, they use “the best local and important active ingredients“.

#RIXREVIEWS: OPULENCE Time to Glow White + Renew

Back in October of last year, I was lucky to be a part of the first Meet & Greet and the third blog-versarry of MJ Perez of Vanity Room Philippines! The event was fun-filled and was truly inspiring. I loved that he wanted to share his blessings, not only to us – his friends/followers, but also to the less privileged children.

After the charity event, we had a sumptuous dinner at Dong Juan where we also played fun games and received loot bags filled (literally) with skin care products!

Anyways, one of the products I received was the Opulence Time to Glow White + Renew.

The product is housed in a round transparent acrylic pot with white screw cap. The label has all the basic information that you’ll need to know – what it is for, the amount of product in the container, what it is made of, where and when it was made, how to use it, and when the expiration date is.
